Kisha Jegede-Gabbidon, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated from Russell Sage College for Women, in Troy, NY earning a Bachelor of Science in 2002. Kisha majored in Nursing with a minor in Writing. Immediately following her undergraduate studies, she worked in vascular surgery at NYU Winthrop University Hospital before transitioning to Critical Care at New York Presbyterian Queens where she worked for over 17 years as a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) nurse. In 2013, she received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner.
What Kisha loves most about being a primary care provider is having the opportunity to treat patients across the lifespan. Kisha believes in providing an individualized, patient-centered, collaborative approach to medicine to improve health outcomes for her patients.
In addition, Kisha is a published author in the prestigious American Journal of Nursing (AJN). She aims to educate, provide adequate access to healthcare, and promote healthy lifestyles amongst the community with her publications and in practice.
Originally from East Flatbush, Brooklyn, with Nigerian and American roots, she currently resides in Queens. Outside of work, Kisha enjoys reading, globetrotting, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two children.
