Dr. Gwendolyn D. Costantini DNP, FNP-C is a family nurse practitioner in Ridgewood, NY, specializing in caring for the aging community, in addition to experience with a variety of other conditions including chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

She received all of her nursing education, including her Doctor of Nurse Practice, from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York and has been practicing for over 30 years.

Ms. Costantini believes first and foremost in treating every patient with the respect and dignity they deserve. Her goal when working with any patient, whether it be an elderly patient with dementia or offering weight loss counseling, is to let her patients be active participants in their own care and health journey. Cultural competence and awareness are other important components of treating patients, making them feel comfortable every step of the way.

Raised in poor neighborhood in Jamaica, Queens, Ms. Costantini was inspired to begin her journey as a health provider by seeing the disparity in healthcare in poor vs. privileged neighborhoods. She still lives in Queens and likes living in the area because of the quiet some neighborhoods can offer. Some of her hobbies include hairdressing, makeup, and cosmetology.  She loves to travel, is a NY Mets fan, and she’s very spiritual. Her top goal in life is that when her time comes to know that she lived a life worth living.
